Nanjing North Railway Station is the largest hub passenger station along the North Yangtze River high-speed railway and one of the three major passenger stations in the Nanjing railway hub system. It plays a vital role in optimizing the transportation layout of the Yangtze River Delta and promoting high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

The project has a total construction area of 692,100 m², including 296,700 m² for the station building and related works. The structural form adopts a side-platform elevated station design.

The station yard consists of 3 yards, 16 platforms, and 30 tracks, divided as follows:

  • Northern section (Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed yard): 2 main lines, 7 arrival/departure lines, 5 island platforms (450 m each)
  • Central section (Ninghuai & Ningbeng intercity yard): 2 main lines, 10 arrival/departure lines, 6 island platforms (450 m each)
  • Southern section (Beijing–Shanghai & Ningqi conventional-speed yard): 2 main lines, 7 arrival/departure lines, 5 island platforms (550 m each)

Design capacity includes:

  • Peak hourly passenger flow: 10,000 passengers (long-term)
  • Annual passenger volume: 36.5 million (long-term)
  • Maximum gathering capacity: 13,500 passengers

The station is a super-large railway passenger hub, featuring a six-level three-dimensional layout, integrating railway, highway, urban rail transit, and public transportation. It is a leading example of a station-city integrated transport hub in China, and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2027, alongside the North Yangtze River High-Speed Railway.

As a nationally significant infrastructure project, Nanjing North Railway Station imposes extremely strict requirements on construction materials and equipment in terms of quality, efficiency, and safety—particularly in the rebar connection process, which directly affects the stability and service life of the main structure.

After multiple rounds of qualification review, product testing, and on-site trial evaluations, GLUS was selected as a core supplier of straight thread couplers and rebar thread rolling machines, thanks to its superior product quality, comprehensive service system, professional on-site technical support, and extensive experience in major infrastructure projects.

A dedicated on-site technical engineer team was also deployed to provide full-process technical support for rebar connection construction, ensuring high-quality products, professional guidance, and comprehensive service assurance throughout the project.
