The No. 1 Hydropower Station of the Namtha River in Laos is located in Bokeo Province in the northern part of the country. With a total installed capacity of 168,000 kilowatts, it has 3 5.6-kilowatt hydroelectric generating units and an annual power generation of 720 million kilowatt-hours. The No. 1 Hydropower Station of the Nam Tha River in Laos is the first power generation project invested and constructed by the Southern Power Grid Company in Laos through the BOT model. The dam site of the power station is located on the Nam Tha River, a first-level tributary of the Mekong River in northern Laos. The total installed capacity of the power station is 168,000 kilowatts. The static total investment of the project is approximately 2 billion yuan. The concession period is 30 years, and the electricity generated by the project is sold by the Lao Electricity Company.
